Pursuant to Germany's Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), we are subject to a strict duty of care when processing the personal data that you provide to us online.

Website access data

Every time someone visits a CeBIT Webciety website, his or her visit generates site-usage data. This data is stored for backup purposes, but could conceivably also be used to identify the visitor (e.g. IP address, date and time, pages viewed). CeBIT Webciety analyzes its data for statistical purposes and to identify trends, but in doing so adheres strictly to stringent data-security standards. Our analysis of this data does not include any attempt to link it to individuals.

Providing personal data to third parties

We undertake to disclose your personal data to third parties only

• in the course of processing order data, e.g. online orders,
• if we have obtained your express permission in advance.

Any associated service organizations that receive personal data from us for order-processing purposes are bound by the provisions of Germany's Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and contractually by the relevant CeBIT Webciety guidelines. We will only store and/or disclose those data which are necessary for the legitimate processing of your order.

If, apart from the above, you have given us permission to disclose your personal data to third parties, then we undertake to disclose only the following information:

• title (if provided)
• first name
• surname
• e-Mail
• street name/No.
• country
• postal code
• town/city

CeBIT Webciety will not disclose any other information - such as details you might have provided regarding your interests in specific events or subject areas - to third parties.

In cases where required by law, including by court order, CeBIT Webciety will turn over the specified personal data to the authorized party. CeBIT Webciety will not turn over your data to third parties for any other purposes, unless it has your express approval to do so.
