The CeBIT.AU Exhibitor AwardsThe CeBIT.AU Business Awards recognise outstanding achievement in the information and communications technology industry. The Awards carry the full weight of the CeBIT brand, one of the most recognised non-vendor technology brands in the world. The Award winners will have the opportunity to use the Awards branding on their website and marketing material for a full year following CeBIT Australia 2012.

The finalists in each category will be announced to business and technology media on Friday, 11th May 2012. The winners will be announced and presented with their awards at the CeBIT ICT Dinner at CeBIT Australia on Wednesday, 23rd May 2012.

Checklist for CeBIT.AU Award Entries

For entries to be considered, submissions must include the following four components:

  1. Affidavit form
  2. Award specification form
  3. Completed submission form for the specific Award category
  4. Documents supporting the claims made in the submission

CeBIT.AU Awards 2011 Line-Up

CeBIT.AU Award Categories

Recognition is the critical element in the CeBIT.AU Business Awards program. There are two levels of recognition for this year’s awards. Four categories are open for submissions. The winners of each of the four categories qualify for the CeBIT.AU ICT Excellence Award.

CeBIT.AU Business Award for Innovation

The CeBIT.AU Business Award for Innovation recognises organisations that have made significant contributions to their industry through the introduction of a new idea, method, technology, process or application resulting in social, environmental and / or economic benefits.

Achievements can include but are not limited to differentiated products and services. This Award category is open to all CeBIT Australia 2012 exhibitors.

  1. Describe a strategy that has led to social, environmental and / or economic benefits through your organisations innovative solutions. (25% of total score)
  2. Describe the technology and / or process improvements that were delivered through project and how this is unique and innovative. (25% of total score)
  3. Describe the outcomes of the project/product and what positive impact it has had on the business. (25% of total score)
  4. Provide evidence of customer feedback to reflect the positive impact of the project on the business. (25% of total score)

CeBIT.AU Business Award for Service Distinction

The CeBIT.AU Business Award for Service Excellence recognises organisations that have delivered a specific service to customers. The service should be an official service offered to all customers with defined deliverables.

This award category is open to all companies that are exhibiting at CeBIT Australia 2012.

  1. Describe the service offered, and the origins of the initiative. State the reasons your organisation initiated the solution. (40% of total score)
  2. Provide evidence of Return on Investment as a result of this service. (30% of total score)
  3. Provide evidence of customer feedback on the service. Discuss how the solution has vastly improved business processes within their organisation. (30% of total score)

CeBIT.AU Business Award for Outstanding Project

The CeBIT.AU Business Award for Outstanding Project recognises the very best in IT project management that has taken place within either Public or Private sector. The award highlights Project Management that demonstrates an overall superior service offering to competitors. This award category is open to all companies that are exhibiting at CeBIT Australia 2012.

  1. Describe a project implementation that you have undertaken and how that project was delivered. (25% of total score)
  2. Describe the technology and/or process improvements that were delivered through the project and how these were achieved on time and within budget. (25% of total score)
  3. Describe the outcomes of the project and what positive impact it has had on the business. (25% of total score)
  4. Provide evidence of employee and customer feedback to reflect the positive impact of the project execution on the business. Provide Return of Investment statistics where appropriate. (25% of total score)

CeBIT.AU Business Award for Top Business Solution

The CeBIT.AU Business Award for Top Business Solutions recognises excellence in the provision of a product or solution to customers. The award focuses on Products and/or Solutions with proven track record of success.

This award category is open to all companies that are exhibiting at CeBIT Australia 2012.

  1. Describe the product or solution offered, and the origins of the initiative. State the reasons your organisation initiated the solution, and the reasons customers decided on this solution. (40% of total score)
  2. Provide evidence of Return on Investment as a result of customers using this product or solution. (30% of total score)
  3. Provide evidence of customer feedback. Discuss how the solution has positively impacted the organisation. (30% of total score)

Process

All of the Award submissions will be received at the Hannover Fairs Office by 11:59pm (AEST) Friday 20th of April 2012. This must be via email to awards@cebit.com.au in Word or PDF format.

All submissions that meet the awards pre-requisites and requirements will then be sent through to the Judging Panel. The Panel is made up of a select group from CeBIT’s long term industry partners.

The Judges will then have two weeks to evaluate all the entries and come up with the shortlisted companies.

The Judge’s final decisions will be received on Friday, 4th of May 2012 and will be compiled by CeBIT Australia. The shortlisted companies will be announced via email and on the CeBIT Australia website.

The winners for each category in 2012 will be announced at the Awards Ceremony being held at the CeBIT Australia ICT Dinner on Wednesday, 23rd May 2012. CeBIT Australia will provide certificates to the shortlisted companies. Winners will receive an engraved trophy signifying their accomplishment and up to five certificates for the team involved in helping create a winning entry.

Terms and Conditions

To be considered for the CeBIT.AU Business Awards, your entry needs to meet the following requirements:

  1. The Awards are open to the products and services of CeBIT Australia 2012 exhibitors.
  2. All categories are open to both local and international companies. International products can be entered by the local distributor or value-added reseller provided they are exhibiting the product at CeBIT Australia 2012.
  3. We are happy to accept combined Industry – Client organisation nominations for the Awards. We do ask that a representative from the client organisation is in support of the nomination and involved (jointly) in the submission process.
  4. Applicants may enter more than one Award category; however a separate Permission Affidavit and Award Specification Form need to be completed and included in all submissions.
  5. There is no charge to enter the Awards.
  6. Nominations for all awards close at 11:59pm (AEST) on Friday 20th April 2012. All entries have to be submitted before this time.
    Finalists will be announced on Friday 4th May 2012.
  7. Supporting documents, figures, testimonials and pictures may be included in your submissions. Unfortunately we are unable to return these items to you if posted.
  8. Each category contains multiple questions, which add up to 100%. All questions have to be answered in no more than 2 pages for each section of the nominated Award category. Failure to answer any portion of the application or go over the page limit may result in the forfeiture of the entry.
  9. The shortlisted entries shall be made available for inspection by the Judging Panel if required.
  10. The contact person listed on the Application Submission Form will be contacted via e-mail upon receipt of your entry.
  11. Entries must be typewritten. Handwritten entries will not be accepted.
  12. Hannover Fairs Australia (HFA) accepts no responsibility or liability regarding any loss of patent rights, other commercial privileges, or any other thing which constitutes loss or damage as a result of entry in the Awards.
  13. Finalists and winners will be selected by a Judging Panel, appointed by HFA (Organiser of CeBIT Australia).
  14. Where any rules or regulations associated with the Awards are disputed or require clarification, the matter shall be referred to the Head Judge of the Judging Panel. The decision by the Head Judge shall be final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.
  15. The winner of each Award will receive a CeBIT.AU Business Award trophy, up to 5 certificates will be awarded to the individuals/teams that contributed to the winning entry as stated in the Award Specification Form, and the right to use the CeBIT.AU Business Award logo on publicity materials and website for a period of 12 months after CeBIT Australia 2012. The shortlisted companies will receive a certificate.
  16. The Award winners will be presented with their trophy at the ICT Celebration Dinner to be held on 23 of May 2012. Seats at this function are limited. Applicants are advised to purchase seats in advance at www.mycebit.com.au or contact ictdinner@cebit.com.au
  17. HFA reserves the right to retain and publish photographs and descriptions of the projects entered for the Awards.
  18. HFA is bound by the Information Privacy Principles of the Privacy Act 1998.
  19. Details of the submissions are only accessible to HFA and members of the Judging Panel.
